Actually Columbus is losing cap space... Kerfoot and Johansson are 3.2 and 3.4 per player, Nash and Nuttivaara are about 2.7 each. So no, we aren't getting space. We are gaining about 1.7 mil of cap.

That's not my point. Nash isn't positive value. He is negative value. Johnsson and Kerfoot are positive value. If you need to move those guys again you can. If we wanted to move nash we would have to give up something big. I think you just have to give a top 15 protected pick to get rid of nash's contract. As for you’re “value” Nash is better then other 4th liners making the same amount. Plus Columbus could easily retain half the contract and get at least a 3rd for him at the deadline next year.

On a side note Columbus doesn’t do the trade you’ve proposed as we have no need for yet another 3rd line wing!
