Actually killorn can be trade this offseason since the modified trade clause kick in. So even if all three (gourde palat and johnson refuse to waive their clause they still can trade killorn and get enough money.

A simple offer sheet would be the better solution rather then offering all those assets

Problem is if they match it (which they probably would and deal with the consequences) they can't trade him for a year, and that doesn't help the Rangers.

That is a hefty price for Cirelli, do no think we have to give up Kravtsov - nor do i personally want too.

Rangers and Tampa have made a couple big deals (St Louis & Callahan and Mcdonagh/MIller & Assets). Speculation of course, but i wonder if TBL and NYR could make a deal that both sides would be happy with given they have a history of making larger size deals.

They have $7 million coming off the books which will give them at best $10 million in cap space next year. If they get rid of Killorn, thats $14.5 mil. They'll need to sign 5 defensemen and 3 forwards. Sergachev is probably going to get a 8milx5 offer sheet. Look at the Rangers this year- their defensive depth is trash and theyre not a playoff team.

Receiving offer sheet doesn’t mean that the players accept. Point last year wouldn’t sign offersheet from other team. They already have coburn hedman and McDonagh sign and have Cal foote who is having a good season in syracuse. That leave sergachev and cernak to sign and they probably sign a 7 defenseman around 1,5 millions. Sure they will have headaches getting all this done under the cap but the offer for sergachev or cirelli must be bigger if they will accept it. Florida is a friendly tax state and temperature is a big plus. If you want to attract players you must offer something really good.

Thank you for correcting me on the number of dmen they have for next year, I forgot to look at their IR. I know this is nothing to go on, but most people on here have Sergachev signing a lowly level bridge, and someone is going to definitely offer him big bucks.
To pay big bucks for your 3rd line center, no matter how good he is, is going to affect the rest of your roster. Look at Toronto, they have half of their cap tied into 4 players. Tampa do with 5 (Stamkos, McD, Hedman, Kuch, Vasy). Toronto's lack of depth is killing them and Tampa could be next.
