TBL
  1. 2020 3rd round pick (ANA)
ANA
  1. Paquette, Cédric
Additional Details:
Anaheim is not necessarily the team, but a 3rd/4th is what Tampa will be looking for in this trade.
2.
TBL
  1. 2021 1st round pick (DAL)
DAL
  1. Killorn, Alex
Additional Details:
Wherever he is traded, Tampa will aim for a 2021 1st but could end up with a 2nd+3rd or b prospect, all depends on how many teams are interested.
3.
TBL
ANA
  1. Coburn, Braydon
Additional Details:
Really Tampa will be looking for just a late pick anywhere and will likely add a pick as well. If Coburn won't waive the ntc then there's a buyout, waivers or even maybe ltir as possibilities to free some space.

Trades are just for values I think Tampa will aim for, not that these will be the teams. This model has an 85 million cap, since most think it will be 84-86, went in the middle. This is a rough estimate of how Tampa could look next year, and those of us that know how the Lightning get things done with contracts will know the numbers are reasonable. Depending on where the cap ends up will determine what tweaks are made but this is a definite possibility of how the bolts could look next year. Some possible changes would be if Maroon wants to sign another 1 year team friendly deal and Tampa wants him back, maybe Bogosian as the rotating Dman and perhaps Volkov or Joseph instead of ABB. Of course if JBB convinces one of Gourde,TJ or Palat to waive, then they take the place of Killorn, but that seems unlikely atm. Obviously whatever the virus does to impact things long term can't be known yet, but still hopeful on a roster similar to this one. As far as specific players, Sergachev at 4.75 on a 3 year bridge is quite reasonable given McAvoy got 4.9 and Werenski took 5 on their bridge deals. Tampa gets their players to usually take a little less, so this number seems about right. Cirelli at 4.25 is right in line with what other young Tampa F that were performing at similar levels took on their 1st non elc based on % of cap. I could see Cirelli up to 4.5 but around 5% of the cap is the ballpark for his bridge. Cernak has been solid but has also shown more than a few times that he's still a 2nd year player here. 2 or 3 years at 2 max but closer to 1.75 is completely reasonable. If Tampa has to lose an rfa than it's def Cernak, but I believe he will want to stay with Tampa. JBB has to be thinking 11 max between the 3 of them, and it wouldn't surprise me or several others I've talked to if it's closer to 10 if these 3 come in even a few hundred k lower on their deals. I know this is a 21 player roster but it's just a rough estimate, when the numbers come in potentially a little lower on a couple players a 22nd player could be added. In any case, Tampa made 22 work fine for much of this season so whether it's 21 or 22, Tampa should be fine. Obviously this off season won't be easy but it's far from some worst case, everybody's going to take an offer sheet(lol) scenario so many on here seem to think it is.

Teams aren’t going to be making fair offers to Tampa. Everyone knows their cap hell and will only help for a big return in their direction.

For someone who doesn't understand the Lightning's position, I get why'd you believe that. For those that do, it is 3 possible impact players 3 or 4 years from now minimum vs 2 players that make them that much better now. Tampa overpaid but that's what it often takes for cost controlled assets with term that were each wanted by several teams according to most reports.

We will see, he was on pace for 30 goals and near 60 points, solid 2 way player on a good value contract. Tampa may not get a 1st depending on how many teams are interested from his trade list but it wouldn't surprise me if he did. He will at minimum return 2nd+solid prospect or 2nd+2nd/3rd type deal, there will be interest.

That could be very likely, I mentioned it in the trade details. I can't see him on the roster next year though.

I'm aware of Tampa's position, they were too massive overpays for depth players that aren't gonna make that much difference.

Clearly you don't and sure they won't, guess you know that based on 9 whole games so far, wow! I'll wait to see how they do if and/or when they finish this year, and oh that's right, all of next season at least as well, since they weren't rentals. These 2 also help a cap stretched team remain very competitive and help replace 2 guys that will be moved. Both have already looked solid ffg or what Tampa wanted them for, and Coleman is likely to tally some real points here once the timing gets a little better between him and his new linemates imo. Goodrow has been a pest on the 4th line and has added both toughness and some offensive ability there. Tampa fans are mostly fine with the trades as the window is now and 2 later 1sts have no great guarantee to even pan out. Foote looks to be a player who could have a decent career, but he wouldn't have made the team until, best case scenario, 21-22 and likely not until 22-23. For a rebuilding team like the devils it's also a good trade and same for the Sharks. Tampa had to outbid Colorado, Boston and at least one other team for Coleman, and pretty sure Boston and one other team was interested in Goodrow as well. It's like multiple contending teams knew getting low cost players with term are valuable or something... So yes, Tampa overpaid, dont really care, I'd much rather have these guys for hopefully 2 cup runs(and maybe more) and hopefully at least one Cup win then seeing them on teams that Tampa could very well have to defeat to get there.
