this is not good, pure homer bias. You realize you got not one but 2 1C’s and you didn’t give up a 1st rd pick. I’m sorry but that’s comical considering the contract you give Barzal if it were an os would be 4 1st rd picks.

Well this is awful... none of those teams are accepting. And it’s hilarious to think what the value of that’s Columbus trade is ... as Anderson = a 2nd and Byron, PLD = Poehling, Romanov(Player Columbus really has no interest in as we don’t need defenseman), and 3rd? KK is compensation for taking the cap dump that is Alzner?

Counter proposal - PLD and Anderson to Montreal for Domi, 2021 1st, 2020 2nd(middle of the 3), Weal and some sort of mid level forward prospect.

laugh You honestly think that Suzuki+Caufield get you Barzal? Yeah no both the Islanders and Columbus decline. Barzal or PLD aren't going anywhere.

Wow you making it really simple. I'll give up 4 1sts for sure over Suzuki and CC! At least I know what I got with those 2. I'd imagine NYI would prefer my original package since Suzuki is NHL ready and he'd be perfect for Trotz system.

CBJ isn't rebuilding either but apart from PLD there's a shortage at C. So I'd imagine they'd want 2 Centers (both former 1st round picks) that still smell like milk instead instead of picks.

Nah.... we’d rather have Weal who’s contract is shorter...he’s a throw in to make the contracts work. He’ll like be on waivers after the preseason.

The packages both teams turn down regardless, Suzuki and Caulfied for Barzal isn’t getting it done. And Suzuki and Caufield trades seperately aren’t going to net you 4 1st round picks. Those trades just aren’t realistic, to get a 1C you have to pay a premium. On another thread I used the Duchene trade as an example, Colorado got essentially Girard, Kamanev, Hammond, Bowers a 1st, a 2nd, and a 3rd, both Barzal and PLD would net more in a trade than that each.

No. Essentially COL traded Duchene and Turris for all those assets which not even 1 of them was a regular NHLer at the time. Only Girard has become an impact player from all of them. Was Byram drafted with the OTT's 1st?

Yes that was byram but Colorado got lucky with that pick. No one expected the senators to goes on a slump like that. The first round pick was projected a second half first round pick.

I disagree. Any team drafting in the bottom 5 this year would give up a 2020+2021 1sts for Suzuki or CC.
