Given the Sens depth at centre, coupled with what looks to be at least one top 3 pick, this is a positional flip that makes some sense. More upside imo with Brown and Norris, and since they make the line up, Tierney I think can be moved.

Buffalo here gets a great 3rd line centre, who can move up and play 2nd line if need be. It simply gives the Sabres offensive depth beyond the top 2 lines.

Sens get a great defensman, under contract control to play the right side - where they are weakest. Just a solid two way D imo who should form a formidable top 3 with Chabot and Brännström.
