The more I think about it

Description
If the Wings get the #OA, I would be pretty jazzed if Yzerman traded it for Ottawa's picks...who knows if OTT agrees, but I think based on the amount of prospects they already have and LaF's superstar potential, they just might.

Absolutely no reason for Ottawa to do that
Ottawa now has 2nd and 3rd odds, trading that for 1st odds doesn't help us at all.

I think he is saying that this would take place after the Wings won the lottery.

Wtf is that Columbus trade.... a mid 1st and 2 busts isn’t getting you Werenski... try adding Veleno and Cholowski and Columbus might think about it...

Those arent food enough prospects for Werenski, MTL would beat that package pretty easily if Columbus was actually looking trade him.

Idk if 2 busts is accurate but I would be open to adding Cholo in there. That could very well be a top 10 1st, by the way....

There's reason for both teams to do it actually.

Columbus would ask for Larkin in a 1 for 1 swap, but Detroit would be stupid to make that trade.

Yes, we know MTL would offer more.

NYI aren’t that bad to have a top 10 pick... my guess is that they make the playoffs and Columbus misses making the NYI pick closer to 20th overall....

The trade would have to included Colowski, Veleno, NYI 1st, Rasmussen.... Fabbri is 100% a bust and wouldn’t be more then a scratch on any other team.... Rasmussen was also supposed to be better then what he’s been, sorry but he could very easily be a bust...

Idk if you've looked at the standings lately but yes, it very well can be a top 10 pick...Cholo, Ras, Fabbri would surely get a serious look from CBJ, who's not really contending for anything with Werenski and will have to pay him more money than they can afford in a year. Fabbri was on a very good STL team but is a top 9 FWD on almost any team in the NHL.

Ummm NYI are 1 point behind Columbus... and have 2 games in hand!! They are more likely to make the playoffs then Columbus is... Fabbri wouldn’t have much value with Columbus. We have 7 other bottom 6 wings and have spots for 4 of them.. no need for more.

Honestly you’re massively overrating your players... Rasmussen would maybe be a 4th line/ healthy scratch in Columbus but likely ends up in the AHL... Veleno might be a 3rd line center if we are able to move Wennberg, Cholowski would likely be 3rd pair if Werenski is moved.

Columbus will also have the cap room to resign Werenski and Jones... Columbus is also more of a contender then Detroit is...
