i can't see ruhwedel coming in at more than a late round pick. Maybe an exact swap for Merril if it were to be cap complient? He's just a #7 guy. Nothing special.

Blueger is interesting, but i'd compare him to Stephenson in many ways. Maybe a fourth, 3rd at the most? Pit might not want to move him though given his low cap hit at another year.

Definitely overpaying in your package.

Ruhwedel idgaf tbh, late pick, blueger is an interesting one, his value, normally would be like a fourth or smth, but the way he fits with ZAR and Tanev is impressive, that was our most effective line this year (mostly bc it stayed mostly healthy, but you know...) Plus the fact that we don't have a ton of C's next year, Crosby and Malkin obv, but after that, McCann is probably gonna play top 6 wing, he's better suited there anyway, jugs, likely get traded, ERod (and ZAR) are more suited for the wing imo (ZAR definitely, and ERod is extremely similar to him) then we have blueger and guys like Lafferty and A. Johnson, but they really aren't more than 13th forwards (at best)

I think a guy like Chris Tierney would be a great fit in Pittsburgh as 3C.

I dont think GMJR would even move them both... Blueger has turned into a great 4th line Center & maybe a possible 3rd line Center & Ruhwedel is prob the bet #7 cheap D-man in NHL. It just doesnt make sense to move 2 guys like them unless they are needed in a bigger player type deal.

Ruhwedel is probably a late round pick. They would move I think. He's not the answer at their 3RD next year. I would like them to sign Mackey at 3LD. Giving them both JJ and RIikola as extra defense men. They could get lucky and trade JJ. But still they would have a lot of bodies there and they can't send them down.
But Blueger, probably isn't going anywhere. They don't have the center depth to do that. Plus the low cap hit. I don't see them moving him.

Penguins waited so long to get a defensive minded, responsible center. They aren't going to be looking to trade him away now that they have him. Especially with the chemistry he has put together with Tanev and ZAR.
