The numbers are kind of all over the place here. I would love to sign reinhart to that contract- it is under market value and would preserve his value as a trade chip- as opposed to say, reinhart at the 9 his agent will ask for. Olofsson is fantastic, i dont think he has the leverage to get 6, maybe 4.5-5. Ullmark looks a bit overpaid here too, theres star goalies that get cap killing deals, but i see him as more of a league average guy, can start, backs up on 2/3 of nhl teams. I dont have a great feel for kahun and where his salary should be yet, but im thinking its too high here.

If the Sabres could get Haula for that money that you're paying Soderberg they should sign him.
Think the Sabres should bring back Larsson and Girgensons and keep that 4th line the same, adding Namestnikov would be good, really thought they should have acquired him from NY rather then that useless Vesey.

What happened to Colin Miller?.. Lol

- I've made some other posts where I've had a team sign Haula and it was for 3mil and a lot of people said he would get more for that. So I went with Soderberg, due to not enough space going around.
- I still have Girgensons in the lineup, but while I believe Larsson is a hard working player, he is replaceable and Lazar has worked his ass off in Buffalo.
- I bought out Miller he's not worth his pay, and realistically is the 7th d-man.

- Thanks for the comment. With how stupid Buffalo management is I could see them giving Reinhart 9mil or trading him, but I believe they need to play hardball and try and get Reinhart to sign a reasonable deal for his production 65 points ish and he really doesn't do much else other than put up points, I think he would valued anywhere between 6-7mil.
- Originally had Olofsson at 5 years, 5.2mil per year but I thought that was too low.
- I thought that was a fair deal for Ullmark given his promise, but maybe you're right and I can lower it to 3mil for 3 seasons.
- You're right w Kahun too I'm biting on his potential, maybe a 2year, 5mil deal instead.

We need a new gm like nobodys business. If im reinharts agent, im saying "uh, you gave skinner 9 million just last year, reinhart has proven that he is the better player, give us a call when you are serious". And the new gm can say "i dont know what the clown who i replaced was thinking, im not doubling down on stupid, you hurt our internal budget above 7 and kill our flexibility moving forward, so you can holdout if you like, its not like the sabres have some golden reputation that i cant afford to tarnish, so go ahead and enjoy some of the original content on netflix and catch up on westworld if you like, but im not going one red cent over 7". Or we keep botterill and he gets 9.5.
