Perfect complimentary player for Draisaitl or McDavid. Should expect him to make mistakes in the defensive zone, but his offensive skills are very high.

I really like this player and his size and scoring ability is elite. This kid can put the puck in the net. Maturity is what I think he needs to work on but that will come as long as they give him the right people around him. Then his ceiling can be very high and this could be a "Sleeper Pick" in the 2nd round. I wanted him in the first round for the Penguins but GM JR did not. We will see.

I don't know, a lot of hype around this guy but I wasn't impressed with him at WJC. It's one thing to go beating up on guys who are mostly smaller than you, not as developed. But I really think the WJC puts guys up against a higher level of competition that is more representative of their peers. He disappeared there.
Don't get me wrong it's a good signing for EDM and to have the pick. But I haven't really seen anything here yet that gives me the impressions of the people above.

He was asked to play a defensive role at the WJC.
