What would you add or subtract? Tampa and the rangers obviously have a bit of history with big trades.

Would love to see this work if Cirelli was even available considering TBL is in a cap crunch.

Take out Chytil and I think it’s close to fair but still a little in Tampa’s favor...

there’s less than a 1% chance cirelli is on another team next season

To even consider trading him, it would start with fox. The rangers wouldn’t do that, but that’s what it would take.

I think Tampa is primed to get OS on Cirelli and possibly even Sergachev. There’s been chatter in Denver (since there is no hockey) about the Avs OS Cirelli, so what’s the threshold in your opinion where it’s to much for Tampa?

Nothing, since Cirelli and Serg, like Point will simply tell these teams throwing OS thanks, but no thanks, we'd like to remain on a top 3 cup contender. If Cirelli or Serg were unhappy here I could see it, but there has been absolutely nothing indicating that is the case. It would also take a massive overpay to pry either away if they were interested, since Tampa values both very highly.

I think TB would match almost anything, because cirelli is the least replaceable among their 3 RFA. He’s a Patrice Bergeron type center, one who can play selke level defense and provide offense as well.

Its a good point but at the same time if lets say a team offers one of those two players a 7X7.5 contract, i think they would consider it.

Money is still a factor, if Tampa is only offer lets say a 3X4.5 for those two players, i bet you they sign the OS. Its a good point though, I guess what is more important? Cups or Money

Not saying money doesn't matter but I believe they will take the bridge and less to keep a strong cup contender together. I don't see many, if any teams offering either 7.5 anyway, and certainly not another really strong contender. I think they will take a little less and bet on themselves and then in 3 years take a big long term deal like other Tampa players like Kuch, Vasi, Stamkos, Hedman etc. when Tampa will have more money and the cap is higher.

ya i hear you on that one, take a little less to bet on your self, both are very young too. Should be something to watch in the offseason.

As a rangers fan i would love to see them work something out if Cirelli cant come to terms with TBL. Lots of speculation of course considering the situation and were all going nuts in quarantine. Hope everyone on this thread is hanging in!
