Columbus can’t afford that trade. We already have an overpaid 3rd line center. We’d need to send cap back the other way and Tampa can’t afford that. If we were to make that trade we’d have to back Murray if we’re taking Gourde...

Are you serious? Cirelli isn’t worth close to 7 million even on a long term deal. 7 millions is what tkachuk and connor got and is production isn’t near that level. Cirelli was on pace for 50+ point so the best he can aim is around 5-6 millions longterm but is more linely to get between 3-4 on a 2-3 years deal.

Well he should also be top 3 in Selke voting this yr, Connor got around 3 min more PP+EV toi/GP, Tkachuk around 2 mins more (he also got underpaid imo) and Cirelli also got 150-250 mins less PP toi/GP than either of them (an average of like 2-3 mins of PP toi/GP more for the other two...)

Calm down top three in selke. He will probably crack the top ten but with a poor Faceoff win ratio he won’t finish near the top For the powerplay time he have to earn it. He won’t have any leverage with that argument. There 23 players on a hockey roster and majority of them don’t get powerplay time.

Couturier (that pains me as a pens fan)
Cirelli
Stone...? He may even be a bit of a "legacy" guy
In that order for Selke for me (knowing the NHL it'll be Bergeron, Barkov, Kopitar even though 2/3 of them aren't even the best defensive forwards on their team)

Sorry he's not a top 10 forward in the league like Point or Kuch (slight exaggeration, you get my point) or have one of if not the best shot in the league in Stamkos (who, plus maybe killorn who's also can spectacular this yr, probably make up PP1 which likely gets 75+% of their PP time)... He's gotta be given a shot on the PP first to earn it... He's been good enough 5v5 to get a shot

Danault have been has good or better then avery single of them. With a very average Montreal team he face best opponent each night end managed to keep positive ratio and corsi. He is the first in pass intercepted in defensive zone. Giroux have been changing is game under vigneault, he have been much more involved in is zone, playing much lower. Bergeron have been bergeron no need to gave is pedigree the guy’s does everything well. Kopitar have been the only bright light in LA. He have been excellent on a very bad team. Stone have been great like always even if he battle some injuries. O reilly have been a corner stone for the blues. Cirelli is not quite there yet.

Danault has been impressive, not Couts good, but easily up there Giroux just isn't up there, good yes, not to that level, Bergeron has been Bergeron, a good not great defensive forward who can score Kopitar has been average

Have you just said that bergeron is a good defensive forward but not great ?? You can’t be serious about that. For the past 15 years he have been the most consistent defensive forward in the game. He is a futur hall of fame who made a living by is defensive awareness duty. Ask any hockey coach or any hockey specialist and they will all say that he is the best at it. Is name belong with carbonneau and gainey.

Yes, there's plenty of better defensive forwards every year, they're just pure defensive forwards that don't score so they don't get the recognition

Have you watch Kings game this years. Kopitar have been everything but average. He is a +6 on a team that have a -34 goal ratio. He have been facing top opponent and have still managed to shut then down effectively without any real help on that roster. He have been taking a sh*t load of faceoff having a great ratio. The guy’s have just been really good this year on a mediocre team.

Yeah guy’s who play 10 minutes a game and are there strictly not to get score when they are on ice. You don’t quite know about defensive forward. Bergeron face the best unit every single shift, there no other forward who play 10 minutes and face the third or fourth line of the opposing team that are better. You are in complete denied, open your eyes man. Bergeron have been a top 5 for almost the last 10 year at the faceoff circle. Have posted a positive ratio for the past 13 season. Have been
Won 4 selke and finish top 3 three other time.

You brought this upon yourself earlier by bringing up corsi (aka ik you're not a complete idiot normie) Kopitar has a 52% CF%... Not bad on a bad team... 9th on the team in forwards (500 toi min for all this) with the 8th best CA/60 he does have the best GF% on the team, but that's somewhat bc he's just outscoring the goals he's been on for (3rd on the team for forwards in GA/60) and in terms of xGF% he's 9th on the team with a 50.34% and 8th in xGA/60 (conclusion... LAK's goalies/defense really suck)... I could go through and do the same with bergeron (to a much lesser extent) but I really don't feel like it RN lol...

A. It's remarkable how little QoC matters (like 0.05 GF/60 at most G between the highest and lowest and average QoC)... And B. I know of plenty of players (buzzsaw in PIT, a guy like Copp in WPG, hell, I don't think the Crosby line faced a single player in NYI's top 6 last yr) who, when the coach can, go out against strictly the other teams top line

No, a bottom 6er that faces other teams top lines more than other bottom 6ers... Though he is probably WPG's best defensive forward, but that's not saying much in that system... (Plz fire PoMo... Plz)

Did he not get a extension this year? I hated him with the hurricanes then with the leafs but i hated him even more since he is with the jets. Gerard Gallant would fit nicely in winnipeg, with is very fast pace game plan.
