Raanta is a rental, unless he comes with an extension I wouldn't include a pick that high, I get he's great, but at the same time, with Hill and Kuemper, they need to move Raanta. Plus Raanta has injury issues

I'm still not fully sold on Hill, they can move Stepan and Goli and get under the cap as well, so they don't NEED to move him and he has a full year left it's not like this is a deadline deal

Who's taking that Goli deal? Anyway, why would Carolina move all these assets for someone who'd walk at the end of the year? I'd want an extension before this trade happens

"All these assets" a third line winger, overpaid backup, late second and meh spec (in my proposal) for a starting goalie and second liner...

A speedy middle six winger, a 1B on a decent deal, what probably will be a mid 2nd and one of the incredibly deep canes prospect pool for a goalie that is constantly injured.... nah thanks, just wait for Kochetkov
