Doesn’t make sense for both teams, I’d still take the deal because it’s an overpay for eberle.

The islanders don’t need defense. The top 4 is set with pelech , pulock, toews and Dobson. Eberle is the islanders best winger. Like I said, I would take the deal because it’s an overpay.

Isles would say yes because that is a big time overpay for Eberle. If anything they could then use Nurse and the 1st to getting a much better winger than Eberle.

How about a Josh Bailey for a 2nd.
