DO you really think Subban is a good idea for the leafs, that guy cant play defense and is really the opposite of what you need.

he may just be having a bad season but I agree. He is not the same guy who was in montreal some say hes more of a powerplay specialist due to that wicked shot

Do you think Blue Jackets are going to accept that trade? I sure don't, Savard is a minute muncher. The way the leafs offense goes you need Rielly and 5 shut down D. at least until the offense starts to do better job defensively.

Not sure how often you watch the Blue Jackets but Savard hasn't had a great season. He has 1 year left on his deal and the reason why he has more minutes this season is because Jones got injured. That being said he is an upgrade on Holl because he more experience playing in the top 4.

Savard has had a good season, he is just playing 1st line minutes instead of 2nd line minutes and he is holding his own. Once Jones is back, he will go back to 2nd line minutes. Where he is paid a decent contract value for. He is playing the same amount of icetime per game as he has in the past 6 years if not a little less than his average. I think he is an excellent 3-4 D man and would take him on my team anytime.

A 3/4 D man with one year left for a 3C and 4/5 D man with 3 years left. It's not a bad deal.
