You’re not going to get Sergachev on a 6 yr $6M anyway you might as well step it up in OS.

I like the trade, as well as the UFA and RFA signings! Though I believe a little more might(?) have to be included in a trade for Sergachev. Maybe substitute Gauthier for both Howden and Andersson and make the 2021 3rd round pick a 2021 2nd round pick. Also Fast will probably be payed $2.5 - $3 million for 3 or 4 years, but Staal could be bought out if teams are allowed a 2nd compliance buyout.

What subtlely complicates the trade is that NYR would also have to trade either DeAngelo or Lindgren or leave one of them unprotected at seasons end to be drafted by Seattle. When considered, it's probably better for the Rangers to hold off acquiring a Defensemen with a long term contract until after the expansion draft.

Just use the expansion draft considerations

Two 1st?
Your current signing would be equal to a offer sheet surrendering one 1st 2nd 3rd
I propose 6.3x5 which equal a surrendering of one 1st 3rd

What if you guys miss the playoff in the next 2 years. I wouldn't want to give up 2 lottery picks. I guess it would be fine

Where are you getting two 1st from?
I just stated there would be no two 1st from neither your Sergachev contract or my proposed offer sheet

In what way? Are you insinuating NYR should trade for example a 1st round pick to Seattle on the condition Seattle doesn't draft either DeAngelo or Lindgren?
