I like it... you still need a 3C though. There's no way McLeod will be ready by October.

A physical depth guy who can chip in a few goals and also play net-front on the PP? Why wouldn't anyone want him?

That Bear contract is strange. I was thinking of a Nurse type bridge deal he got two summers ago.

I fear you're right, but hope you're wrong.

He already stated that his days in playing in Edmonton are over. That why he went over to Finland he wants no part of the Edmonton organization.

Yup, but the organization has had a lot of turnover since then, and sometimes time heals wounds. We'll see... I agree it's unlikely, but I know for a fact that Holland has left the door open.

I don’t disagree, I just didn’t like the speed or cost of many of the 3C’s available. Soderberg, Spezza, and Boyle are the only maybes in free agency and I’d assume Soderberg would cost too much. Not to mention, there isn’t many trade pieces. There might be a couple European UFAs available, but I haven’t done too much research there. IMO Mcleod has the vision and speed that fits that line pretty well.

Until JP gets traded I’m not counting them out. Probably homerism, because I still think he has loads of potential but I ain’t counting them out.
