Yeah that's who I would like to see one used on. This team would be assuming they don't give a compliance buyout.

Need another option at 2/3C, Little may not return, Wheeler is too old to be playing center, Copp doesn't produce enough to play 2C, Maurice won't give Roslovic a chance to play 2C and Lowry is terrible at hockey, period.
I think they should sign Haula if they can.

I agree that a true second line center would help the team out immensely. Haula could be a good option if he's not too expensive.
However, I think Wheeler could honestly be at least a good stopgap next year if needed, whoever's playing wing there I think we need a playmaker which he definitely is, and he's fared well whenever he's played there the past two years. I also think Copp or Roslovic could be an option there at least for next year. I don't think this team is elite next year anyways, we might as well let the young guys develop more, and see if Roslovic is a top six option long term. By next summer Laine/Connor will have had three/four years of experience and at that point we might need to look for a long term option outside the organization.
I think we missed a huge chance with Trochek at the deadline though. 25, good contract with term and seems to be a good playmaker. I think he would have fit really well.

Wheeler was done playing center before the stoppage, what makes you think he could do it next season? He's done and the decline was pretty obvious this season, keeping him at center will make the decline worse.

They cant waste another season, Scheiffle isn't young anymore, they need to acquire a 2/3C, add some depth on D and go for it! Scheiffele is getting old and Wheeler is older, it's close to now or never!

I agree about Trocheck but that's typical of Chevy, he doesn't do much, he'd rather wait for every damn draft pick to hopefully develop into what he needs, maybe he thought someone was gonna throw a good center on waivers.. Lol
