    i think you're in a situation where ARZ over value's him
    you'd have an easier time getting Christian Fischer who's done nothing
    but decline since the new GM's systems been molded in such a way that doesnt seem to need him .
    (similar to Domi he's just not blending with the direction they're building and on a 2 year decline same as Domi before his summer trade)

    Personally i was hoping MTL would get him as we needed a middle 6 winger but then Suzuki stepped up .
    Now Armia and Evans have made cases for promotion on RW plus factor in Ylonen's in Laval when stuff starts back up
    PIT though could use him and his chippy hard nosed style would fit in with your needs as he would draw tons of attention creating even more room for Zucker and Crosby .

    VH is more clear cut and you know what to expect
    CF you either end up with a awesome 4th line winger and PK2 guy or you end up with a top 6 RW who will succeed purely on cycling pucks to Crosby and Malkin .(likely getting a lot of 2nd assists )

    CF is the bigger gamble but has the biggest upside for growth at 23 (or will be by next season)
    i'm actually excited about this concept as Fischers the perfect guy to play Rodeo Clown for an Elite level Talent
    Whether it be Crosby,Malkin ,Mcdavid,Drisatl,Overchkin,Mathews,Tavares ,Toews ,Kane or Eichel
    Maybe on his own he's an Andrew Shaw type utility player and spark plug
    But with Elite skill he could be one of those heart and soul blue collar guys you love to see succeed

    As for Hinostroza, I'd say some pick(s) might do the trick.

    ARI would probably want a lateral move. Him and a pick for McCann.

    OTT needs players with contracts just to meet the cap floor (even if it stays flat), so a guy on a 4.1 on it's last year is ideal. It's not like Bjug's is 38 and just hanging on. In a system better suited he could become a tradeable asset. LAK has one of the better F farm system but D is kinda suspect. MV for JR is a wash for either team.

    ARZ is screwed next year even if the cap goes to the max. They can't afford VH much less JM.

    I'm probably less negative on Bjugstad than most of the people on this site, but I don't see why Ottawa would have any interest in him whatsoever.

    He's not a worthy centre even in Ottawa, and he's 4th line RW at best with Batherson, Brown and Ryan on the team. The cap isn't going to go up, so it's not even like they need the cap that badly.

    I proposed a trade several times for CF earlier this year (and last) and I got the response back that he is one of, if not, their best 2-way forward this year.

    I'm not saying to take on a JJ player but a guy who scored 49 points a couple years ago and just needs a new system to succeed in.

    Unless they sign any of their "very young and so far unproven players" to big contracts, they need money contracts.

    They might need some players to reach the cap floor, but it doesn't mean they should waste an asset for that. Lajoie is worth more for them than Bjugstad, who most likely wouldn't even be in their TOP4 centers the next year with Tierney, Chlapik, Batherson, Norris and Brown coming...

    If they want to get closer the cap limit, they should just take a bad contract, say Brendan Smith for example, and get paid for taking it.
