Legit Malkin Trade

Created by: Blynasty
Team: 2016-17 Pittsburgh Penguins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 3, 2016
Published: Aug. 3, 2016
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Malkin has a no-trade clause, but his family lives in Florida and being a new father may persuade him to wive the clause to go live with his family.

Jagr has finally decided that this year will be his last, and wants to come home and get his jersey hung up in the rafters, and have another chance to help get Pittsburgh back-to-backs.

Trocheck has always been infatuated by Mario, and feels that playing along Sid would be his best career move.

why would Florida trade a 20 year old Barkov for a 30 year old Malkin?
As Malkin ages he's becoming more injury prone, last 3 seasons has played 60,69,57 games.
NO WAY Florida trades a player who's 20 and on the rise for a player who's 30 and consistently injured.

Florida is on the verge of being a cup contesting team. They have good defense, a young talented offense, and solid veteran goaltending. Led their conference for pretty much the whole year last year, and didn't even look near good enough to beat the Islanders let alone the Lightning. What were their weaknesses? Try to look up the last time a team won their defense and finished in the bottom 3rd of the league in PP%. They were also in the bottom 3rd in penalty kill %. Malkin and Maatta are two players that can help in special teams. Maatta can play the 2nd PP and top PK unit, while Malkin has been one of the top PP producers since he entered the league.

Barkov isn't going anywhere. He's essentially the next Kopitar and he's super young. No chance they trade him
