That is very close to what Clifford would get. and not even near enough for Dermott. Mikheyev is actually pretty good fairly similar to the Danton Heinen deal.

Mikheyev hasn't even played 40 games yet. He should be more in the 2x2 range. Clifford isnt worth resigning if hes going to get anything more then 1.5. hes a 4th liner and even if hes a good 4th liner he still wont change the overall outcome of the game that much. Realistically he'll be the 11th or 12th forward and paying that much for one isnt a great way to allocate cap space

Mikheyev was slowing down production wise before his injury and as @Jack_ said, didn't even hit the 40 games mark. He should get a "show-me" deal which shouldn't be more than 1.5 million.

Dermott was expected to take the next step which is to become a true number 3-4 D and that hasn't quite happened. Maybe 2 or 2.2 range for him but not too much more.

If Clifford wants more than 1.5 million, I'd rather fill that spot with a cheaper option.

looking at his by game production the longest drought he went on was roughly 5 games. multiple 5 game point streaks, multiple multi-point games, I agree that due to his minimal games played it would cost less. That being said it sounds very similar to Danton Heinen. But if they plan on signing him more then a year it's going to be more then 2M. If they sign him 1 year the 1.5M is attainable due to his minimal games played but at longer term the money goes up.

As for Dermott I think it would be in the 2.8M-3M range but 2.2 would be acceptable. not 1.5M.

And with Clifford, look at previous FA established fourth liners that have been signed in the past few off seasons, Zach Sandford, Evan Rodruigez, Noel Acciari, ect.

I made this based on what The Athletic reported (estimated) market value was for Mikheyev, Dermott, Spezza and Clifford. I hope they get everyone for less - especially Mikheyev because I think he's great - and don't agree they should re-sign all of them, but that's what was reported.
