The Ottawa trade is incredibly unrealistic, Vancouver already has great center depth and likely isn't trying to move it, and Barzal has to want to sign the offer sheet too. No team is going to offer him 8.5M for 3 years, maybe 5 or 6 but not 3. For only 3 years, I dont really see why he should get much more than the Point contract

Depends on what they offer sheeted Barzal for. We are going according to this post right. Barzel gets offer from Vancouver, Islanders let him walk and Islanders offer sheet Pettersson next year.

If we go off his post they will have over 20 million in cap space next year assuming the cap doesnt change... if they don't sign Barzal they will have 29 million... they have a lot of big contracts coming off the book.
