Description
THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN (MALKIN WILL NEVER WAIVE NTC).

But if it did happen, this is what I would want in return.

Pens get future core piece of team. And a good 3rd line center.

CHI gets a number 1 (b) center (imagine him with kane...) and a offensive defenseman in Pouliot (Seabrook and Keith won't be around forever.)

In regards to the picks:

Basically we come out ahead for the upcoming draft. Then Chicago comes out ahead in the following year's draft. So that is a wash.

With roster:

You can interchange Kunitz and Wilson.

And I know Sheary isn't a right wing, but I couldn't imagine the team putting Kuhnhackl in the lineup above Sheary.

Malkin is 30 yrs old. He is losing value by the day. Even now, he will not get that type of return. Malkin is practically immoveable unless he wants it.

Even though he is still scoring more points than toews every single year. but yeah, that makes sense.

I don't think CHI can afford Malkin cap wise. No way in hell can they have 3 payers getting paid more than $9.5M

8 out of 10 teams won't have a player like Evgeni Malkin (even at 30) on their roster over the course of the next 5 years... Guys like Malkin don't get traded in the cap era, because it is almost impossible to pull it off between two cup contending teams. You may see a guy like Rick Nash get traded to a playoff contender, but that's still not even close to an Evgeni Malkin getting traded to a team who he would wave his no-trade clause (no team) to.
