    Well I have two questions.

    1) why wouldn't SJ just buy Jones out? And don't say because they buy out Vlasic because they won't do that. They value him too highly to do that.
    2) why would Kane waive his NTC?

I'm also fairly curious on how are Canes re-signing both Svechnikov and Hamilton...they've no money left and those two could potentially cost $15-20M combined.

The third thing you listed is exactly what I knew somebody would ask. That certainly relies heavily on a cap raise:
Cap lost based on this build:
    - 6.8M in goalies
    -10M in forwards
    - 6M in defense
    - I think Seattle takes Skjei, so - 5M.
Potential raise of 3-6M in cap
So if Hamilton gets a 3-3.5M raise (9M range) , and assume the lowest cap of a bridge at 6.25M for Svech... the cap can work if it's done right.

    1) SJ could buy out Jones if they don't buy out Vlasic. That just means a lesser package back to SJS. Drop the 2nd. Because this buyout doesn't affect the cap, it isn't as drastic a price change as some other cap moves.
    2) It's a M-NTC - although tight on what it allows, the Canes have perhaps the best locker room environment league wide and are entering a phase of being very good. I wouldn't rule this team out for considering waiving it.

So Niederreiter, Mrazek and Geekie for Kane? Nah, probably not. Niederreiter hasn't exactly shone this year.

Kane's NTC gives 3 teams to be traded to. Consider me surprised if Carolina is going to be one of them. My guesses are limited to 5 teams - Tampa, Vegas, Vancouver and the NY teams.

Geekie being the big piece. Unless the 2nd was balanced and I didn't pay enough initially to take on Jones.

NTCs are always hard to work on this site. For the post part I throw an idea out there if it is somewhat logical. Obviously Kane won't waive to Buffalo, OTT, Detroit etc. so don't bother trying a trade with them. But I don't think the door is completely closed for a team like CAR.

Honestly SJ should pay Canes to take Jones if they won't buy him out (which they should). He's too fickle and not an upgrade over Mrazek.

Knowing how our FO uses the goalie position as a dumping ground of sorts in order to generate assets out of nothing, I would not be surprised if the Canes show interest in Jones + good sweeteners (Merkley would be amazing, but if not that, maybe a Chmelevski or Kniazev-level prospect and a draft choice) for our current tandem of Mrazek and Reimer, and then run Jones and Nedeljkovic in front of the Carolina defensive brigade.

What is this trade? Geekie has been a stud in his 2 NHL games, why would they move a cost controlled option for someone as streaky as Evander Kane? Nino's defensive game is far better than that of Kanes, and in general the Assets you're giving up are better than what you're getting back. This is just not a deal that works.
