The way he he ran his power play was fascinating. The only real puck talent they had was Kurashev, so rather than make a forward play the point, they stuck Kurashev behind the net and he ran it from there. And it actually worked.

2 years later there is still only two impact NHLers (Hart and Makar). Plenty still have potential to become that they're still all 22 or less. But still interesting.

Thomas has made big plays in big playoffs games and won the cup.

And 2nd on the team this season in 5v5 scoring (2 pts behind ROR in 180 fewer minutes). He's an impact guy for sure.

He's had some big games, but he still only had 6 pts in 21 games. He has definitely continued to improve this year.

I should change my initial wording though. Impact player may be too vague. Lets say all star level player

Batherson is a player. He's been globetrotting across the AHL, and he looked really comfortable in the NHL this year. He's gonna have a big year next year.

As I said many still have potential to become that.
