Try more like Klefbom Fayne is garbage and to lock up Trouba you're looking at 8 years $48 million in reality. Nurse+Fayne don't get you Trouba.

Why do you think trouba is getting that kind of money. Not one comparable got over 6mil.

Because that's pretty much what he and his agent are seeking, And he either gets it or he gets dealt somewhere that's pretty much the bottom line he will get that much mark my words.

No I won't mark your words lol. If he wants long term 8 yrs he's getting 5 mill. The best thing he can do is accept a 4 year deal at 5 mill and cross his fingers that he puts up good numbers where he could demand 7 mill on his next contract.

Seriously. He has no negotiating rights. If he wants to sit out and not play until he gets what he wants he can but i guarantee you that will hurt his stock more than WPG's. GM's are in solidarity when it comes to over cocky RFA's who overstep their bounds. Trouba is a great dman but he will get the same thing Reilly, Lindholm, Jones, etc etc get, which is exactly what he's hoping to get but the longer he holds there is always the chance WPG budges or a crazy offer sheet is given. Both scenarios aren't as plausible as him signing to a reasonable extension come October.

I know WPG fans may not like it but it may be a tactic in order for him to get out of Canada and hopefully to an American team. Some Americans want to play in their native country. Its not unheard of.

Or he might just want to be taxed less...
