What if people stopped believing that every team would draft that same guy at that position

why does that matter here? there's no other way to represent the pick's value.

all this does is show how the Trouba trade initially looked awful for the Jets and now, even with Hayes considered, actually looks better.

I didn’t think it was that deep at the time but I’m actually surprised by how deep 20-40th was this draft. Guys like Lavoie, Kaliyev and Pinto lit it up who were drafted in the 2nd round. You also have Nolan Foote, Connor McMichael, Ryan Suzuki, Philip , Ville Heinola, Nils Hoglander, etc. It was really deep

Lavoie fell unnecessarily, Nolan Foote was and still is a bad pick, he's improved, but not a ton, Suzuki has barely improved, possibly even regressed, he's really not looking good, idk who Philip is, Kaliyev still shows zero interest in doing anything other than receiving passes from Jenik or his various other linemates... Particularly defensively, it's amazing how little effort he seems to give... Fun fact about Kaliyev, on over 1/3 of his goals the primary assist went to Jenik... Jenik hasn't played since Dec... (Also the fact that good production dropped off sharply since Jenik got hurt, and he somehow managed to be one of the highest scorers yet still barely notch an above 50% GF%)

I guess Phillip is Phillip Tomasino?

Oh yeah... That makes sense, him and Pelletier were both really good picks

I was pissed as a jets fan at the time but Neal Pionk is already better than Trouba and I think Ville Heinola could be a dark horse candidate for a calder in the near future and will be a really solid player

I still think Chevy lost this trade even though I'd never trade Pionk and the 1st back for Trouba.

Chevy hung on to Trouba for far too long, got played like a fiddle and got next to nothing for him.

Have really lost faith in him as a GM, just not active enough building this team and he's been losing trades for quite awhile now. He's left himself so many holes to fill I really don't see him getting it all done in one summer meanwhile Wheeler gets older and another year of Scheiffeles contract goes down the tubes.
