Why? With retained salary, he should be a great offensive D for any team...

What's with PIT threads and Hunt? I get he's a low cap bottom pair guy, but why has this idea exploded?

No. He fell off a cliff offensively this year... To the point where Riikola (in a much smaller sample size obv) had a better season then him... Even with 1.2 mil retention SJ would have to pay me a ton to take on that contract, plus the fact that Marino is an RD, can't really play the left side and is 50000000x better than Burns, so he'd end up on the bottom pair at best

He scored near 50 points. That's a great amount for any D. Granted it's less than the seasons before that, but remember that SJ sucks.

You need a 1G. SJ's goalies are pretty weak.

At 5v5 he only scored 23 points (tied with JOEL EDMUNDSON in P/60), and he likely wouldn't get PP time here, certainly not PP1, maybe PP2, but 1/2 the time Letang just stays out the whole PP, and was worse defenseively than he's been throughout his career, and was third or fourth on his team in GF% and xGF%... Barely beat out EK in GF/60, but was behind him in both CF/60 and xGF/60... Clearly showing signs of regression... And his contract goes for another FIVE years...

Pens don't really have an option, if they want to keep him after the expansion draft.

I can't see any other solution but moving him.
