Team: 2020-21 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 27, 2020
Published: Mar. 27, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
BASED ON @Jfstompers POST (wanna give credit where its due), did a really really good job! I wanna give my take based on theirs, and I anticipate the bruins actual moves being somewhere in or around both of our ACGMs!
Nice and simple and smart!

NOTES:
Coyle and Kase can switch around
Chara, Lauzon, and Clifton often cycle and switch around that bottom pair (depending on when Chara wants/needs rest, and who isnt playing well)

I don’t think it’s that he’s not necessarily worth a 4th it’s that he hasn’t played much at all so no ones seen him legit play for a whole season for a while, he also has 3 years left after this year which is tough if he doesn’t live up to potential

Moore is not good. He is just not a disaster. His contract (4YRx$2,75M) is problematic as well.
Maybe, if he was at like $1,5M, you could get a 4th but IMO, I don't really care if you get a 5th/6th/7th. Again, who knows what Sweeney can do, maybe he can have a 4th but I won't be disappointed if it's not

    Why not re-sign Halak?

He gonna be asking for too much money. Like Lehner he should be going for around 4 million. IF the bruins can get him for less they 100% will, but it seems unlikely

Listen, As I showed someone in another bruins post. There have been at least 5 trades of people of Moores level for at least a 4th (with similar cap), and a HUGE amount of 3rd dpair guys are in the 2-3 million range right now (because of contract inflation). For any team to get a solid 2nd to 3rd dpair guy, which Moore factually is, for a 4th, any team would be dumb to reject it! If the bruins didnt have 5 other LHD with nhl capapbilities, bruins would make that trade any day.
I mean, nick Holden was traded for costing a 3rd and a D level Prospect, Bruins got stinky John-Michael Liles for a 3rd a 5th and a D level Prospect, Andrej Mezaros had a bigger cap and was worse at the time and costed the bruins a 3rd, and thats just recent bruins trades.
Moore can get the bruins a 4th. If Sweeny just wants to get rid of him and does it for less, Im fine with that, i dont care about Moore anymore, but I will not have people try to tell me he is a cap dump (moronic) or less than a 4th (logical, but wrong)

Edmonton declining has little to do with the trade value and everything to do with the fact that they don't need any more defensemen. They already have 9 NHL defensemen under control for next year.

Well I agree I'd rather see stud playing center than wing to start I just think Coyle has been far far less effective on the wing than at center. If this season is any indication he's really more the 2nd center behind berg than krejci is. So I'd rather keep him in the . middle and let stud work though adapting to the NHL on the wing. Now moving Moore is fine but he's just not an in demand player and most teams would rather slot a young cheap prospect in that 3rd pair than moore and his not crazy but too much contract. So I think you can move him but the buying list is small and it's gonna be a light return.

    Your opinion

If Brett Ritchie's 1 year tiny two-way deal is enough to change this "perfect ACGM" to a not perfect one, than your expectations are WAYYYYYY to high.

You are always good on here tho dawg so ill let that one slide man
