I think the defense is ok. Its just they need a true number one center

More importantly, why would TB of all teams want more cap coming back? They'll need to cut approx 8-10M in cap if the cap stays flat.

The defense is tied for third-fewest goals allowed in the League. As @Leafsfan34 says, what this team needs is more strength down the center.

Their defense isn't elite (cause Kuemper carried the team this year) but they needed to target a first line centre. Trading for Hall was a mistake. They should have gotten someone like Domi

In my mind, Schmaltz and Hayton are the only players on the entire roster who are viable centers in the NHL (I've only seen Dvorak at LW).

They need an elite center. That's why they aren't winning games. Schmaltz and Hayton are second liners, not first.
I feel bad for them because the 2018 nhl draft didn't have much centre beside Hayton and KK

Yes, neither one is going to be a #1 C. My point was that you can go through the entire roster (big team and minors/juniors) and these are likely to be the only guys that ever have a career in the NHL, and that won't cut it.

Everyone knows Domi & small market cities don’t mix.

Interesting choices to move Dvorak out of the top 6 and play RD up and coming really good prospect Soderstrom at 3C

0% chance Zuc moves, he signed as a free agent in Minnesota and Minne has a better future than Arizona. Also doubt Palat willingly leaves the best offensive team in the league for the worst
