    1. Sceviour, Colton
    Additional Details:
Essentially Clifford, just cheaper contract and don't have to upgrade to a 2nd.

    1. Carter, Jeff ($1,772,727 retained)
    2. Wagner, Austin [RFA Rights]
    Additional Details:
This trade continues to grow on me - Matheson has plenty of upside on LA, and could reach his cap potential here. They get to dump carter, who is a viable middle six player still on Florida on what would be a cheaper contract.

see, the thing about Clifford was that on top of being a gritty bottom 6er, he is actually a good defensive player. Sceviour is not, in fact he bleeds shots and chances against and i doubt very much that the leafs would have any interest in him, even for a 6th

I think if you are willing to take back a little salary in a trade, you probably could trade Stralman instead of buying him out. Veteran RHD like him should be able to find a new home. He's still a decent dman.
