Sturm is nothing great? 24 and hardly broke into the NHL. Might be missing something but he seems like an AHLer / maybe 4th liner.

I thought Hallander was a top center prospect in the league? I would up the 2nd to a first.

How is that bad for Calgary? They trade a 4th liner and a top 4 D for a guy who should be a legit #1 goalie for a decade and other pieces

Well what is the extension on Murray going to cost?

Doubt Nashville would want to add Hornqvist' salary/term.

I like the MIN trade (I'm a Sturm fan lol)
I proposed that NSH trade (just like a third instead of Riikola) last summer, I think it makes less sense for NSH now tho, Bonino has been amazing this yr, and they are probably looking to sell off/get younger, Riikola>third tho imo, so maybe
I don't really like the CGY trade, I'm not really a hanafin fan lol

I wouldn't say top... PIT doesn't have any of those lol, but yeah he's p good, he'll probably be a solid 2C

Bonino really was an under rated player. I get why they let him leave after the injury. I mean you see what happened that next year back. But I think that ship has sailed. He'll probably never be back in a penguins uniform, let alone traded for Hornqvist.

The CGY trade sucks for the penguins. They don't need to keep spending big money on 3rd pairing guys. They didn't pay Petterson 4 million a year to be a 3rd pairing.
    They have their top 4.

He took the long way to the pros. This was his first pro season and MN did the right thing by keeping him in the AHL playing big minutes all situation hockey. So his age is a little deceiving compared to his development curve.

I'd rather have Strum as a cheap bottom-6 two-way center than a rental of Bjugstad who is an expensive 3C that can't stay healthy.

Yikes, Calgary would instantly decline then

I think he can rebound slightly. It all depends on the contract he is given. The uncertianty is why I added a pretty good center prospect and am willing to add a first.

He’s inconsistent but we are all aware of the level of play he’s capable of. If he can work on some things like his mental game, he could be an elite goalie. He’s got the talent, just needs to find the consistency

Cant really bridge a 25 year old, just likely means hes leaving ASAP or getting a serious payday

1M at 4.5-5M is what I would guess if a team trades for him. He has RFA for one more year

I know it’s a tough situation but what else do pens do? Unless he’s willing to sign a long term contract at around 5-6 million, I’d be willing to take that gamble. Other than that, bridge is pretty much the only option.

As a Predators fan, I REALLY wouldn't want Horny on the team. Riikola I would love to have on the team though
