Arizona would be stupid to say no. Montreal should say no Obvs.

This is a big no from Montreal. That just bad! Johansen haven’t been that much more productive then Danault past couple of year. Danault will likely cost 5 millions a year and lets say 45-55 point a year. Johansen cost 8 millions and get between 55-65 average that just not good enough considering that Danault defensive play is superior. Giving them Drouin with that is even more terrible. Johansen isnt even a top 20 center no more this is just not justified.

Maybe not better but probably close enough to equal value wise. Danault defensive game is so much more better then Johansen that even thing out. But i agree with you Bad trade

Johansen has been a replacement level center over the past two seasons

He isn’t a great skater so pace have kind of get back at him. The league get faster each year so i get what you are telling. And is 8 millions salary is just to much for anyteam to consider acquiring him.

I would love to see someone overpay barzal by that much, maybe then people will stop pretending Marner's contract is the worst thing in the world

The Islanders GM did say he would match any offer sheet but idk if the Islanders would have enough $$$ for that, lol. I do think it's a massive overpayment for Barzal though
