You know you acquired Skjei for the the 15th-25th round pick. You know you won’t be getting Ylonen who was (35th overall pick) 2 second round pick ( 40th and 59th) and a early third round pick. This is a absolutes terrible trade. Montreal can probably acquire Nick Leddy for a second round pick and a C prospect. This is a massive overpayments consider the price they acquired him from New York

Skjei have been a below average defender the past 3 season. At 5.75 a season he become a expensive option for what he brings defensively.
