82 cap comp buyout Det trade

Description
With the lost revenue from this year, there is a high possibility the cap only raises a little if any at all.

Yanni is a compliance buyout so his buyout $$ won’t count against cap

My trade value assessment is basically: Cholo/2022 1st for Serg. 2020 2nd (32 overall)/2021 2nd for TJ

Pay little attention to the UFA signings, I basically just plugged a couple bottom 6 guys on reasonable contracts, you could plug in a dozen diff names.

Also: I’m bored, I realize this is not at all likely to happen

I could see Wings and Tampa being reading partners but you forgot two things. One Johnson has a NTC and not sure he waves to come to Detroit. Secondly and more important, Wings have something Tampa does not have and that is cap space. If Tampa wants to keep the core mostly enact, they would need to pay and not expect much back. The Wings highly doubtful to trade this yeara 2nd round pick, which is the 32nd pick overall.

If season is cancelled and cap stays the same or goes down, even with a buyout of top talent, they do not have enough cap space.

Johnson and Sergachev aren't netting you Cholowski plus 2 2nds and a 1st that is purely laugh Tampa is in no position to ask for the moon on those players. Cernek, Cirrlli and Sergachev are all offer sheet candidates and fat chance you'll get anything close to that value for said players.

Lol, I’m a Det fan. I’d take this deal; it’s just painful enough to make me feel it’s even value.

Man why would you overpay like that? Detroit's 2020 2nd round is like a late 1st this year. While iagree that Dennis Cholowski probably has no future in Detroit. That brutal for a rebuilding team. If we're going to offer that just offer sheet him $7mil+ and besides i seriously doubt Johnson would waive for Detroit but it would be sweet if he did.
