Description
I always get ripped in these because I deserve it. That aside, I realize watching the hockey guy we have had two successful decades in a row and I truly believe we will be middle of the pack for time to come unless we get a top 2 pick. Ok, anyways this post is self explanatory in its own way. However, I wanna add if we get Drysdale replace him with Axel or Manson is gone for a couple of 2nd -4th round picks, Raymond replaces Terry/sherwood, and the top three in the upcoming postponed draft are in our top 6 moving everyone down. That said, I realize as a ducks fan despite not having a 2nd Stanley cup I have been spoiled with great hockey for my entire life so far. Nevertheless, I see a down turn for time to come. But let me know your thoughts. Tell if I'm stupid and give me a couple of chirps.

Trades
1.
ANA
  1. 2020 1st round pick (EDM)
Additional Details:
Not predicting the exact year or team but if it were for this years draft he could also get c level prospect including a 20-31 pick. That aside, could see a Kase like deal including Rakell.
2.
ANA
    prospect failure switch.
    3.
    ANA
    1. Wilde, Bode
    2. 2022 1st round pick (NYI)
    Additional Details:
Im a little more specific with this trade due to the feeling of the possibility it can happen on his contract year. Nevertheless, I could see Lindholm going east to a playoff contender who's willing to pay a little more to win now. May be way off on the prospect but, it will be b level prospect for sure. Especially, considering this pick could be 25-31 range.

@bunzy1034 if your trading him at his contract year I thinks this what you fetch due to age, injury and offensive capability.

None of these ideas is terrible or far off the mark. However, there is a danger in trying to look too far into the future. For example, Christian Djoos may re-sign this summer and turn out to be better than Larsson, Guhle or Mahura. Heinen may turn out to be better than one of Jones, Tracey and Lundestrom. I think that a lot depends upon whether we get Stutzle, Raymond, Holtz or Drysdale in the draft. You covered the latter two possibilities but there is the first (however remote).

@OldNYIfan Djoos is already better than Larsson but I feel hell leave the nhl. Id take Heinen over Jones as of rn. Too much does depends on those mention in the draft but they will be in our line up by then imo. Nevertheless, disagree about the future part. All this team has is the future,

Only way I move Rakell for just a first is if its top 5, if its lower than 10 he gets at least a B prospect too. I like the Idea of moving Larsson/Guhle for a similar RD

Lindholm gets more than a 1st and a B prospect even in a contract year, hes a top 2 defenseman and those rarely get moved

I would not go anywhere near that Guddy contract

There isnt one in my opinion, at least a reasonable one. I'd want a 1st and an A prospect to start, depending on the range the first is projected add more

I dont think so, put him with top 6 quality line mates and hes a 60 pt player on a good deal for 2 seasons, a first and a B prospect is very reasonable seeing the returns some guys have gotten lately, might even be an undersell

@Salzy So you'd rather resign Lindholm at what exactly? do you want pay him 8 mill plus? Lets not have assurance he'll sign a team friendly deal and how often to teams trade A level prospects? I can't personally name one. Sounds like bad assets management. That said yes Rakell could get 60 on a good team but this isn't guaranteed and I foresee a downfall for him especially since he's scored over 60 points once in his career.

I’d sign Lindholm along the lines of 8 year up to 7.5 aav, I can’t see him asking for more than that tbh I don’t think he’s earned an 8x8 and he’s my favourite player on the Ducks, now let’s say he comes out and asks for north of 8 I would 100% be on board moving him

Teams move A prospects more frequently than teams move top pair DMen I feel like, could be wrong though, depends on the return to call anything bad asset management and with prospects you could be waiting 10+ years to say it was a bad move or not

None. You don't trade Lindholm, just like in CAR you don't trade Dougie Hamilton (unless it's for each other... Who could hang up faster... Probably CAR/Tulsky, but you get my point) the minimum I'd take (I'm just using PIT bc I know them the best, not bc it makes any sense) is John Marino (high end 2 RD his rookie year)+Poulin+2021 first+(later pick or spec like Almeida due to it not being a 2020 first)
