What player getting 0.6 PPG signs for 1.5M on a multi year deal? He's producing at a higher rate than Kapanen, Johnsson and Kerfoot when they signed their contracts and I'd say that I'd rather him on the team over Johnsson and Kerfoot.

I'd say anything under 2M on a one year deal would be amazing value.

he has literally played 39 NHL games. Players with not even a half season do not get 2+ milion deals.

if engvall got 1.25 for 2 years and has 8 goals and 7 assists currently in 48 games than mikeyv who has 8 goals and 15 assists in 39 games can easily get 1.5million or more for 2 years. If johnsson and kapenan got 3.4 and 3.2 with single 40 point seasons he can easily command 1.5million or more. Plus hes gonna be back for the playoffs so we can see him in action there.

Engvall got that while healthy and playing significant PK time in the bottom 6 with guys who werent scoring. A guy who just came off a major wrist injury who no one can be sure if he can even play the same as he did before dosnt have that kind of ask

we will see how he does in the playoffs his agent says hes ready to go so no issue there. Still though for a kid who was fourth in rookie scoring at the time of the injury — while also impressing on the penalty kill (1:55/game) he can easily command 1.5 million on a 2 year deal if he plays well enough in the playoffs. Signing him to less than a mill or on a 1 year deal would be a bad idea as we have other people to sign by then.

Mikheyev should get a 1 year deal to prove himself and then can cash in. It will have to be slightly richer as he can go back to the khl for more money.

It's an awkward situation for everyone involved. I think he gets a 1 year deal just under 2 mil

if he comes back and plays at the same pace in the playoffs (if there are playoffs) then that changes things. Right now he has less than half a season where he rod a PDO bender for a while. If anything he'll probably want to prove a bit more and earn a bigger deal sooner than locking down that 2nd year too early

3.2M is a reasonable risk. He could be a 2M player on the low end and a 4.5M player on the high end.

he could also be an 800k 4th liner. that is not a reasonable risk. that is a dumb risk

I agree with everyone else....no way Mikheyev gets that kinda deal after 39 pro games.....not to mention that severe injury he suffered.....1 year @ 1.25 or 1.5 max.....let's see what he's got....look at what happened to Engvall after signing his new deal...last 20 games of the season he scored 1 goal...against a Zamboni driver.....need to stop "Zaitseving" these Russian players with big contracts just cause they come over with so much hype....players need to start proving they are worth the money.
