You would have to tak almost equal money back for the Oilers deal. Oilers would have 5 million to sign 5 guys including a goalie

While I agree with you, I'd like to hear what'd you like to get in return for Marner. Because frankly I don't think I've ever seen a positive comment from you lol.

i give out positive comments when they are deserved, i cant make people make good trade proposals!
As far as what i'd trade Marner for? Well, ok sure, from a pure value standpoint ignoring the other teams needs and/or cap space, not attempting to go after filling a leafs need, lets pick a random team that would maximize a funny reaction. Ottawa!
Brady Tkachuck and san Jose's first, that is the kind of value you need to get back when you are moving a player as good as Marner.
Now, would i expect that kind of value back? No, because teams who trade guys like Marner (see Seguin, Thornton etc) never ever get good value and never win those trades.

Yeah what I was more interested in is that do you view trade as good when it's actually fair or when it is way too much in Leafs' favor. And based on that example, I got my answer.

Dumba might as well be Brad Marchand since every Leafs fan despises him...

Value aside, we need centers and Marner is a winger, even if I do love his game. Kaprizov and Fiala will lock down our top line wings for the foreseeable future, all we need is a center to pass them the puck and we will likely use Dumba to try and fill that need.
