I commented this on another thread with a Tuch/Ristolainen trade, I think the Sabres need to add a pick to make up for the big difference in term, something like a 3rd round pick.

I don't see why the Jackets make that trade, Hutton has little to no value, can't see why they'd trade Korpisalo for basically a 4th, I get the theory that goalies don't have a lot of trade value but Korpisalo is worth more then a 4th round pick and an aging backup that's almost a UFA who's best years are well behind him.

Cause Brodin is a very solid defensive minded top 4 dman. Samuelson is a B+ prospect who is gonna be an nhler. Brodin is already good and has proven he can play top 4 minutes

This is better but still not great. Personally I think korpi is benefiting from the defense in front of him a lot and that wont translate to well to buffalo. Brodin would be a great pickup but besides that there really isn't anyone you would want against top competition. Everyone besides brodin needs to be sheltered now and that wont translate well.

MoJo at wing is what should be happening all the time. imo they should be playing reinhart at 2c for now. Eichel is good enough to run a line by himself and he will be able to boost skinners production.

I dont see reinhart playing center at this point. Krueger has said he sees kahun as a center.

Disagree about guys like dahlin and jokiharju needing to be sheltered.

Hutton would be a good backup for a young guy. He is more valuable than his stats, which would improve under tortorella system

The difference between Korpisalo and Hutton is more then a 4th... Hutton is older and a decent backup... Korpisalo is only 26 and looks like he could be a solid starter. Their contracts should end up being close to the same next season so that doesn’t really factor in much.

Would you really sell a player for an older and not as good player for spare parts? If you’re serious about a Korpisalo trade it should be a 2nd round pick going to Columbus, not a 4th. Also I don’t think Columbus is really ready to hand the keys to the franchise to either Korpisalo of Merzlinkins as neither one of them has proved they can be a true number 1 for a full season.

That Florida trade is very good for both teams. As others stated, more would be added to Hutton to get the Korporal. Probably could do Hutton, Davidsson, 4th for him. Also I still don't understand how Brodin is always valued so high. I get that he is good, but to be worth 2 blue chip prospects and a high pick? Seems steep not?

2nd round picks arent high, mittelstadt is no longer a blue chip prospect and samuelsson never was one.
