CBO plus offseason plan

Team: 2020-21 Arizona Coyotes
Initial Creation Date: Mar. 29, 2020
Published: Mar. 30, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
The offense here is fascinating. Cause if Kessel plays like, you know, Kessel can (more or less PPG), he's deadly. But with a team playing a defensive system, it's pretty hard to expect numbers he put up in PIT. Still getting him for a B- prospect at best and Galchenyuk is a win for ARI. 25 goals should be expected from him.

Hayton should have a good season, that being said he shouldn't be much more than a 3C for 20-21, unless he explodes offensively.

Conor Garland is a great guy and currently looks like a steal (he was a late pick).

Now, here's a trade I think makes sense for ARI and WIN: Alex Goligoski going up north for a 2021 2nd rounder + a 2022 4th rounder. WIN gets a number 4 d-man while ARI gets a late 2nd rounder and a late 4th rounder for a guy who likely isn't resigning with them in 2021.

Now, Soderstrom should make the team next season and that's great for ARI. The guy has had a great 2020 WJC and he looks like a soon to be NHLer. As soon as 2020 IMO.

Now, ARI should stay the hell away from Hall at all costs to keep cap flexibility long term. That being said, Soderberg looks like a good veteran to lock up for 2 years at 3,5 millions per

Now, the big piece: EVGENI DADONOV... let's offer him a 5 years, 6 mil per contract

    Additional Details:
Stepan isn't a bad player by any means (and that comes from a NYR fan) but his AAV should be around 4 mil per year for 2-3 seasons. He's more of a 3rd C nowadays than the 2nd C, 1st PP, 1st PK unit he once was.

I like dadanov but Hoffman is the way to go also with Stepan you can easily retain half of his contract and get value for him rather than buy him out and have to deal with his lower cap hit for another two years , also the Coyotes should and will definitely look into Hall as they dont have a player even close to skills and they need to add scorers losing him will not help at all with scoring
