Not sure why you’d want to make that trade but Columbus accepts...

Boy, if there was ever a team that would have profited from one particular draft pick, it' Buffalo and Quinton Byfield. Good luck! (My two crummy teams lack so much, where we draft is kinda irrelevant.)

I did a survey recently of the last 50 Buffalo team constructions. 10 of them traded Mittelstadt, 9 traded McCabe, and 15 traded both. Only 16 didn't trade either. I'm surprised that Sabres fans are willing to give up on your youngsters (incl Thompson) so easily.

That's the same fans over and over again. Personally I wouldn't move Mittelstadt for anything, he still has enough potential to be our 2nd line center. By keeping him you lose nothing, by trading him is the only way to lose. McCabe is whatever, we need room on the team for Pilut and probably Borgen so he can go. Thompson I'm not high on at all. Only thing I like about him is his size but I don't think he will be a good player

Wennberg isn’t even a good 3C and u wanna put him at 2C?
Hell no
His contract blows & he’s just an “ok” player at best
And if we are getting Byfield, why do we need him?
Byfield & Cozens are both already better suite for an offensive 2C role than he is
And the other could play an offensive 3C role
All we’d have to do is keep Larsson to continue his checking center role, which shouldn’t be a big deal

And the CBj trade in general blows
Take out Mitts & Wennberg and it’s fine
Maybe CBj throws a pick in?

The Markstrom idea is interesting
Might have to go more than 3yrs to get him though
And I’d be fine with that
UPL is likely the future, but who knows how long before he’s ready to be a #1?
