And I quote “I’ve seen a lot of Marner trades, so let me add another one.” @MitchMarnerElite
It should be-“I’ve offered a lot of (ridiculous) Marner trades, so let me add another one.”
I’m sick of Marner. For what feels like the 3 millionth time, the Pens just don’t need him or his contract.
The Pens will be just fine and competitive for the next few years without MM.
And this Lafreniere thing again? Seriously?

I understand that you hate Marner, but that doesn’t make him a bad player. Any chance you get to acquire a player of his caliber without having to give up Sid, Geno, Rust, Zucker, Guentzel, Letang, Dumoulin, Marino & Pettersson, plus make it fit under the cap, you’ve gotta do it. Just move out the bad contract.

The Leafs are getting a two way defenseman who has excellent stats, the best net front guy in the league, a top prospect & 1st yet that’s still not enough? They literally got everything they need in this trade. As for Lafreniere, I was gonna trade for Bertuzzi, but @Sidstick87 told me Pens can get more for him, so I went a step further.

I never said he’s a bad player. I said he’s unnecessary. Plus you haven’t yet made an offer Toronto would even consider.

Yikes. O'Connor isn't a top prospect and Roy is a 25 yo rookie and Hornqvist is overpaid

Well, they don’t have to add him, but it would be ideal to get a young star forward to compliment this older core. I think the offer is fair for Toronto because they’re getting an excellent top 4 defenseman (his stats are unreal), a forward who plays a chippy game with lots of checking plus can score, a top prospect & a 1st Round pick. You have to keep in mind his value won’t be as high in the off-season compared to the trade deadline cuz teams aren’t as desperate. Look at the Kessel deal.

Hornqvist forechecks, hits and gets his nose to the front of the net. He’s a guy you’d love to have on your team.

The Leafs are getting a Dman with one season under his belt, a 33 year old guy making too much money for the next 3 years, a college signing (not a top prospect), and a late first NEXT year. No, that's not enough, and not 'everything they need'.

and has a cap hit of 5.3 for the next 3 years. We got Hyman for that role

O’Connor was one of the most sought after prospects in the NCAA. He is going to be good. Roy took longer to get to the top but since arriving he’s been sensational. Hornqvist is a 20-30 goal guy, he forechecks & battles like no other. He brings tons of value.

Matt Roy has been exceptional in every aspect of his game this season. The Leafs need more sandpaper grit & Hornqvist is that. That solidified their defense & Forward group. The prospect & picks are bonuses because of Marner’s talent.

Hyman, although better defensively, is not as good as Hornqvist. When it comes to checking & battling in front of the net, there’s no one better than Hornqvist. Trust me, the Leafs need a Hornqvist more than they need Marner.

ok buddy. Whatever you say isn't gonna make Marner put a penguins Jersey on because Ik for a fact you do not have the package we want for Marner

No, they really don't. Hyman, Clifford, and Kapanen, all have that to some extent. They don't need a guy who is making 5.3 for the next 3 years.

Their forward group is already solidified. Adding a guy with one year experience doesn't fix their defensive problems.

I already explained to you why the Leafs benefit from taking this package. If you don’t understand, then i cant help you.

Well, none of Clifford, Hyman or Kapanen do as well as Hornqvist in his role so I think his cap hit is justified. He’s dominant on the PP & scores 20-30 goals. I could’ve traded for another defenseman from LA like MacDermid or Walker, but Roy’s stats are the best.

The cap hit isn't justified. You're just not understanding that this package isn't near good enough. It's not a tweak away. It's bad.
