Ix-nay on that horrific trade.

Don't you think that Broberg will need some AHL time as a 20-year-old? I'm thinking he'll likely follow the Klefbom pattern: 2 years in Sweden and then half a season in the AHL.

Good problem to have, but they still won't have to trade either Nurse or Klefbom. They can just run Broberg in the 3rd pairing just like Tampa is doing with Sergachev.

Have you watched him play...? All the turnovers, the stupid mistakes (bad pinches, not covering the right guy etc, he does it all...) Yeah he looks good, his raw ability let's him catch up to and cover his mistakes vs junior kids who aren't as good as him, but vs men/higher competition in the SHL, it's showing that he won't be able to always compensate for those bad reads or missed assignments in the d zone...

He did just fine this year in the SHL - as an 18-year-old. With another year in the SHL + at least half a year in the AHL to adjust to the smaller ice, I think he'll have no problem playing 3rd pairing in the NHL. And I haven't seen a single informed opinion which disagrees with this.
