nuge could get at least 8 mil in the market so i dont see him signing for 6 mil unless he really wants to stay

He'll be 28 at the time of signing, so you're paying for decline years which is why I'm happy you didn't go 7 or 8 years. I'd be happy to re-sign Nuge at 6 x $6.5M. Whether that's realistic or not depends on what happens with the cap a year from now.

If he signs that deal, either he needs to fire his agent or he really loves it in Edmonton. Too many teams need centers, he'd get more in free agency if he gets there.
