Brutal trade for NSH. Give up their two best prospect and a 1st for an aging vet

My only concern with this trade in this scenario is if we add Serg and DeAngelo we just got significantly better. Kopi is still a great player. Unless Turcotte or Vilardi step up next year and take over top center spot this may be a step back. I was of the opinion when the rebuild started that we should of traded Doughty and Kopitar and hauled in the prospects. Now that we are on the upswing I’m not so sure. We may compete quicker then everyone thinks. I’m torn now

They are a contender. Kopitar improves them significantly believe it or not. I'd consider changing the 1st to something else.

They are a contender but their prospect pool is already weak and giving up all that for a 30+ vet when they have three 30+ vet centers making a lot of money, they could use those pieces in another trade for a dman or better goalie

But how many players do that have that get 60-70 points a season?
