I think we've seen enough of the Eichel trades. Can someone start a train of Barkov or Dubois or Aho or Pettersson trades? They make as much sense.

Barkov only has 2 years til UFA, there's not much fun in that. Pettersson isn't going anywhere and neither is Aho. PLD is interesting but you have to figure that Columbus is in some kind of weird half rebuild where they try to re-stock up on young talent and picks by dealing Savard, Foligno and potentially Atkinson or Wennberg. PLD is probably being kept

So the Sabres give up the best player by far in the deal, and in the swap for bad contracts, take the longer one with more actual and cap dollars, just to buy him out. I see why they’d want to do that....
