Hamilton might be interested in testing the free agent market first instead of re-signing.

I expect Svech to sign a 6 year deal a la Mikko Rantanen and Skjei to either be dealt (if his performance picks up, as he very may well since he's only 26, he'll be worth more than the 1st rounder that we traded him away for) or picked up by Seattle in the Expansion Draft. Hopefully Dougie's AAV is able to be kept under $10M AAV via front-loading and signing bonuses.

I think Svech probably only gets a 6 year if he takes another big step next year. If he can be ppg like Rantanen then yes 6 year makes a lot of sense
