Description
If Vegas uses a potential CBO to buyout Stastny, they have enough money to either re-sign Lehner, or use the money to get a puck moving Dman. They'll have around 7-8 million dollars to do this.

Is it possible they buy out flower and keep the forward.

I keep thinking about this... What would happen if Lehner became the starter in the playoffs and took them to the finals and won... Do you trade Fleury or keep him and let Lehner walk?

Nosek is gone. No way they bring him back even if he wanted low money but especially if he asks for that much. They'll re-sign Reaves.

Also, Roy is definitely on the third line next season, likely as center. Carrier is a fourth liner and knows his responsibility there.

Has Stastny been that bad? What would be his trade value? Apparently low if you're using him for the CBO

Cbo flower sign lehner and keep statsny. Unless flower would waive the trade and move.

I'd rather keep them both Lehner and Fleury as we can afford it and they're both starting goalies. Especially considering next season could have a condensed season with games closer together. Fleury contract expires at the perfect time for the team also when others would need new deals.

Wonder if they'd buyout Pacioretty if every team is allowed one compliance buyout.

Pacioretty has been top 3 players for them this year so I don't think they'd do that.

I agree with this. More back to backs means you need a good goalie tandem. Play them both 41ish games and ride the hot hand in the playoffs.

He hasn't been bad, but he hasn't been great. Definitely not producing like how they expected him to. He could still be traded, I just wonder if other teams would lowball in hopes of Vegas using him for the CBO.

That's sort of what I was thinking too. What do you see as a fair value in return for him though?

I think the hot hand would be Lehner, and then the next season I don't think Fleury would be a good enough starter to win a Cup. We can't let Lehner go.

Stastny has actually looked good this season, sometimes the points weren't there but especially recently he has played very well.

He can still be a good 2C for teams, I could see Buffalo being interested but the trade would probably look similar to Miller or Haula, below value for some picks or a prospect.

Interesting. Because as a Jets fan, that price for Stastny would interest me greatly.
