Its pretty easy to not mess up 3 4 5. 14 15 16 is a little more subjective, but yes Bostons scouting is terrible

I mean at the time Zboril was probably a decent choice but they absolutely should’ve taken Barzal and Connor

Marchand, Bergeron, Pastrnak, Krejci, DeBrusk, McAvoy, Carlo, Grz, Lauzon all Bruins draft picks....yup they are awful at scouting. Let's not forget Krug UDFA...found by Bruins scouting.

Hey man it sucks to lose a top ten draft pick for sure but hindsight is 2020. Can you not admit boston wasted picks and knew at the time that they were reaching?

Guess it's just the Hockey Guy who wanted the Bruins to mess up the 2015 1st round picks as a trade off for getting McAvoy the following year and Pastrnak in the previous draft.

Was it though? I've said this numerous times, but say they do draft Barzal and Chabot or whoever. You've just potentially changed every teams draft board, every off-season move, every game outcome and ultimately the standings every year. Maybe by changing those picks, Carlo doesn't make it to Boston in round 2, maybe the following season they don't get a chance to draft McAvoy...those are two major pieces to the pie here on defense. There is also no guarentee that Brazal or whoever would develop the same way in Boston. The kid gets top line minutes in New York, he wouldn't get that here. He'd be stuck behind Bergeron and Krejci. If they had Barzal, maybe they don't trade for Coyle.

You see, its a rabbit hole of possibilities. What I do know is last year they made the SCF and are one of the best team in the NHL this year....while next year probably returning most of, if not their whole team. So what did Boston really lose?

Oh nothing really, theyve made up for it with good trades and late round steals, but it is nice to daydream about what couldve been.

Id say hitting on your first rounders is pretty important to that assessment as well. Bruins have done decent but also flopped. Very 50/50 on that

Let's start at 2016 (figure 2017-2019 are still to early in development)

McAvoy - top pairing stud
Frederic - middle 6 upside
Senyshyn - middle 6 upside
DeBrusk - top 6 winger
Zboril - 3rd pairing upside
Pastrnak - superstar
Subban - nhl backup (hated this pick)
Hamilton - top pairing
Seguin - superstar
Caron - bust city

^I'd say they did pretty well with their last 10 first round picks.

Saying Frederic,Senyshyn or Zboril have upside seems very unlikely at this point. Beecher was also a very weak pick

Do you watch them play? No, no you don't. I have 3 AHL teams within 90 minutes of me and see them a lot. I've had opportunities to speak with scouts and even met Sweeney a few times because a family member runs one of the arenas. I'll take the opinion of them plus what I see vs a random person on CF who doesnt even follow the team.

Who said all-stars? I didn't lol. I'm not even saying they'll hit that, but that's their upside....and again that's coming from scouts and people who are paid for their opinion. But hey I'm sure your opinion is more accurate with extensive time following the players you're claiming to know about. GTFO with your garbage. This entire ACGM you've been proven wrong on many of your assumptions and you're just continuing to prove you proved nothing of value to a hockey conversation. Enjoy the site, I know I will not having to see your half baked takes anymore.
