For that to happen the cap would have to be at max 74M this coming season

which the NHL or NHLPA will never allow they will probs allow 1

I think they would allow 1. The NHL has never been in this situation and with the cap originally projected to be 84-88.2 teams were signing players to big contracts and now we have projections it could stay at 81.5 or even drop. That makes teams who have already signed people go "well we got screwed". The NHL should allow 1 compliance buyout per team to allow teams to adjust their roosters in these tough times. Otherwise things could get messy.

However, looking through contracts Archibald is the only extention/signing that took place after the GM meeting with a cap hit over 1M

No one has made any large signing. Same thing last year when projections came in lower than what people were saying.
