A lot of expensive depth that just isn't needed. Sens have guys to fill most of those holes, and a lot of the guys you've added are way too old to make sense. Brassard, Halak, Khudobin and Niskanen will be 35+ by 2022, and some of them are already declining. Even guys like Iaffallo and Brodin aren't needed because the sens have guys in house to fill those roles.

If by 2022, the only current Sens prospects who are cracking the NHL lineup are Norris, Brannstrom and Thomson, the sens are in massive trouble.

I wouldn't make any of those free agent signings.

The Sens are the perfect team to go get Georgiev in my eyes they have the draft capital to easily get it done and some NHLers that could be of interest to the rangers as well, as @Claesson4Norris says expensive declining depth isnt what this team needs, stay true to the rebuild and supplement FAs/trades to efficiently fill out the roster

I think they need to figure out what they have in terms of goaltending first. Hogberg and Nilsson have looked solid. Daccord and Gus also played well. Then you still have Sogard and Mandolese. Thats 6 goaltenders

If I thought Georgiev had a clear future as a starter, I'd look at him, but I think he's more of a backup, and the sens are too loaded up in net already.

I'm not sure JBD will be playing top pairing in 2 years. Sounds like he might stay in College for another year, and he's going to need some AHL time

If the Sens were to get a Compliance buyout and use it on Zaitsev, I'd like Ottawa to take a swing at a free agent RD to stopgap in the top 4. I think Mark Pysyk could be a fit in Ottawa's top 4 in the short term.

Sens are going to be loaded everywhere after next years draft.... Any trades for a prospect who isn't an A prospect doesn't make sense for the Sens

Yeah thats a good point, I guess I just like Geo more than what the sens have but you have a more informed opinion than I do
